Apple has officially introduced Apple Creator Studio, a new bundled subscription designed for creators working in video, music, design, and productivity. The offering consolidates several of Apple’s flagship creative tools into a single monthly or annual plan, aiming to simplify access to professional software.

The subscription costs $12.99 per month or $129 annually, while verified students and educators can sign up at a discounted rate of $2.99 per month or $29.99 per year. Apple Creator Studio launches on January 28 and includes a one-month free trial for first-time subscribers.

The bundle unlocks six high-end creative applications:

Subscribers also gain access to premium assets within Apple’s iWork suite—Keynote, Pages, and Numbers. Apple has confirmed that Freeform integration will be added later across iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Alongside the launch, Apple announced a wave of feature updates across its creative software ecosystem.

Pixelmator Pro—acquired by Apple in 2024—is launching on the iPad for the first time. The iPad version supports Apple Pencil and brings full-fledged, professional image editing tools to a mobile workflow.

What Motion, Compressor, and MainStage Do

  • Motion allows creators to build complex 2D and 3D motion graphics
  • Compressor works with Final Cut Pro and Motion to refine export and delivery settings
  • MainStage turns a Mac into a live performance setup, functioning as a virtual instrument, guitar rig, or vocal processor

Premium Content and AI Features in iWork

Creator Studio subscribers unlock a new Content Hub inside Pages, Numbers, and Keynote, featuring:

  • High-quality templates, layouts, and illustrations
  • New themes and design elements

Subscribers also receive early access to AI-powered tools, including:

In Keynote

Apple’s Vision for Creator Studio

Eddy Cue, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Internet Software and Services, said the subscription is meant to lower barriers to professional creative tools while speeding up production through intelligent features.

One-Time Purchases Still an Option

Apple emphasized that Creator Studio is entirely optional. All included pro apps—Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Pixelmator Pro, Motion, Compressor, and MainStage—will remain available as one-time purchases on the Mac App Store. Meanwhile, Pages, Numbers, Keynote, and Freeform will continue offering free core features to all users.
