OnePlus has confirmed that it is not shutting down, pushing back against recent claims suggesting otherwise.
The company’s India CEO, Robin Liu, publicly dismissed a report from Android Captions that alleged OnePlus was being gradually dismantled. In a post shared on X, Liu called the claims “false” and “unverified,” stressing that OnePlus continues to operate as usual.
“We urge all stakeholders to verify information through official sources before spreading unfounded claims,” the statement said. OnePlus India also told Android Authority that its business operations in the country remain unchanged, with no plans for an exit or slowdown.
Update: January 21, 2026 — OnePlus North America released a similar clarification, confirming that the company remains fully operational in the region. The statement reaffirmed continued support for customers, including after-sales service, software updates, and warranty coverage, reinforcing the brand’s ongoing presence in the US.
Although OnePlus has not commented on reports of internal restructuring or broader strategic adjustments, Liu’s remarks make it clear that the company is continuing normal operations across both India and North America.
